Children and Youth Programs
Sunday School
Congregation Station is the Sunday school program at First Congregational United Church of Christ. It is held during church for children ages 5 - 11. Children are invited to participate in this program after Children's time, near the beginning of worship service.
Our Middle School and High School Youth, grades 6 and up, are invited to participate in the worship service and may serve various roles in the service in conjunction with the Board of Congregational Life.
The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday and rather than head off to Congregation Station, children attend the worship service with their families.
Nursery Care Nursery care is provided for children, birth through age five. Care is provided, free of charge, throughout the year during worship service, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Middle School Youth Group When: 3rd Sunday of month during school year Where: Varies This group is for youth in grades 6-8 and there is usually a discussion time followed by recreational time. There are a couple of service projects planned, one for the benefit of the church community and also one for the community of Grand Ledge. The group normally does not meet during the summer; however special events may be planned. High School Youth Group Our high school students do not meet regularly as a group. However, there are programs planned for them throughout the year, often focusing on mission, such as working on a Habitat for Humanity home in Lansing and for Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, Mississippi. We are currently planning a mission trip to Detroit from June 14th-June19th. Stay tuned for more information!
